Term 3 Writing goals

My current level in Writing is:3B

Things I think I do well in Writing are: describing disasters and putting full stops and capital letters in my work.

My Writing goals for next term are to: correct my spelling in my stories and use similes.

I can achieve these goals by:staying focused and don’t be distracted by other people. I can use a dictionary or ask friends for help. I could use the online dictionary.

My family can help me achieve these goals by:helping me practice my spelling for homework and telling me to concentrate.

today we did some buddy writing with Rm7.
we helped them to re-craft their writing sample .
this is my buddy ajani. I hope we get to do this
again it was fun.

On t.v 1 there was a tsunami in Japan.I think the tsunami was humongous, enormous and there was a lot of confusion going on in Japan.

We see dust, big waves were crashing into Japan.

we can hear people screaming,upset,worried,
crying, scared, sad, confused.terrified, frightened and panicking.you could hear people yelling for
help there were crushed objects pets searching for their owners and children crying and cars and
houses swept away in the sea.

people feel upset, glum scared and confused also people are sad and afraid.

Tsunami Disaster

In Japan in the 18th of March, 2011, there was a tsunami that crashed into Japan. It was like a huge giant running after it’s toy but it wasn’t. The tsunami was crashing everywhere like someone who failed there driving test but it was more worse because it was charging through the buildings like it was the boxing gloves of a kick boxer.

I could hear the sound of sadness and people crying and also I could smell fear all around me like a huge crowd crying like Michael Jackson died.

I could see houses collapsing together and buildings floating in the sea. I
felt so sad for the people whose houses got destroyed in the disaster.
Different countries are trying to raise money and have raised $4000 dollars so everybody in Japan could rebuild and be happy again.

Layers of the Earth

WALT-make a model of the layers of the earth out of
play-dough.

So that when we learn about natural disasters we can use our knowledge of the layers to understand them better and to help us in topic and science and learn about the earth around us.

The layer that is called crust or tectonic plates is the thick and strong green around the sea that floats around in the earth and it contains the continents plus the seas. Are you aware it’s thickness is 15-17km?

The second layer of my model is called the mantle and the other the lower mantle. The deference between the upper mantle is 400km thick and the lower mantle is 2300 thick.

The third layer is the outer core the outer core is the colour red. It’s thickness is 2300km and it is liquid. It includes nickle and also sulphur.

The last layer is the inner core the inner core is the most important layer out of all the other layers is the colour yellow. It is 1220km thick and it is solid iron nickel. The temperature is 6640 degrees Celsius!
